Nice Carnival last hotel deal

The Nice Carnival is one of the world's major carnival events, alongside the Brazilian Carnival and Venetian Carnival. It is held annually in February in Nice on the French Riviera.

Multi coloured floats, giant carnival figures and performing bands take to the streets in the annual Carnival de Nice which is ended with the famous battle of the flowers.

Every year, a special theme is chosen, and traditional artists create 18 floats and other figurines in traditional papier mache for colorful parade. The parades take place day and night, while on the Promenade des Anglais, “flower battles”.

During the parades, festival-goers carry some 150,000 hand-painted lamps, twinkling like stars. The Carnival is a celebration for people of all ages and from all backgrounds, and the event goes on for two whole weeks. The lighting and decorations in Nice during the Carnival are truly unique, transforming the Place Massena and the Promenade des Anglais into a twinkling fairytale setting.

Expect celebrations, surprises, colorful costumes, make-up, glitter and gold, floats and parades, flowers, puppets and a huge firework display to close the festival. On the French Riviera, the Nice Carnival is Europe's answer to the Rio Carnival. Do not miss out on all the fun!
